We recently helped out on a Trash the Dress Session with Bunnell Photography. While she was taking pictures we did what we do best....wedding cinematography....what a blast!!!!
Here's Bunnell Photograghy's write up on the event - "It was a plan first conceived during a girl's night out with my dear friend and fellow photographer Christine... What if we did a Trash the Dress session at the Big E! But not just any photo session. It should be BIG and FUN, like the fair itself. Thus, the idea of the group Trash the Dress was born.
If you're not familiar with a TTD session, we're not necessarily destroying wedding gowns. Instead it is an opportunity to wear your wedding dress one more time without the fear of getting it dirty. It's a chance to really let loose in your dress. A bride puts so much time, effort, and money into a gown that makes her feel stunning. What a shame to only wear it for 8 hours, once in your life.
We spread the word to clients and friends and we ended up with 8 brave brides. What an amazing bunch of women to shoot! The energy was contagious and I think you can tell what a good time was had by all.
Instead of paying a session fee, we asked each bride made a donation to the Arthritis Walk in honor of the daughter of one of the brides. We raised over $700 to the cause!
Thanks to my partners in the shoot, Melissa and Christine. Thanks to David Long for tagging along for some video coverage. Also thanks to Jay for sweet talking the ride operators and being our impromptu PR rep. And best of luck to Bear on your walk. You're an inspiring young lady!"
