"Sine Beats is a visual and auditory exploration of the phenomena of sine wave "beating". When sine waves that are extremely close in frequency are brought together, the combination of the two waves creates a third wave form that "beats" around the other two frequencies. Sine Beats attempt to make this phenomena more intuitive by gradually layering the beating waves, and accompanying the layering with a light pattern and visualization. The end result is a composition that, while apparently complex, is actually the sum of 12 or fewer pure sine tones at any given time."
