La ciudad de Tarma se encuentra en el centro de la provincia de Tarma, departamento de Junín, a aproximadamente 230 km al este de la ciudad de Lima. Está situada a 3.050 msnm en en el valle del Río Tarma de la vertiente oriental de la Cordillera de los Andes. Su ubicación estratégica la consolida como el punto de nexo entre la costa central (departamentos de Lima e Ica), las provincias andinas del centro (departamentos de Junín y Pasco) y la Selva central (provincias de Chanchamayo y Satipo).
Tarma es la ciudad capital de la provincia de Tarma y tambien es conocida como La Perla de los Andes.

El dia Sabado 2 de Octubre se realizó la toma de tiempos y la clasificatoria, Douglas Dalua obtuvo el mejor tiempo seguido por Kevin Reimer. El domingo 3, las series dieron los siguientes resultados

The city of Tarma is located in the center of the Province of Tarma; 232 kilometers east of the city of Lima, in the mountain ranges of the Andes. Its location consolidates as the point of nexus between the central coast (departments of Lima and Ica), the Andean provinces of the department of Junín and the Central Forest (provinces of Chanchamayo and Satipo). The city is situated within a fertile valley, where many important civilizations lived in the past, from pre-Inca cultures to the Inca Culture. Evidence can be found through archaeological remains.

Tarma is the capital city of the Province of Tarma, and is also called the Pearl of the Andes. The city is at an elevation of around 3000 m.
