This was the first real documentary job I did entirely with 5d/7d. It was much easier than I thought, even though the main lenses I used were all primes. Not really any unexpected issues with the cameras…
The second character is a therapist who treats people with emotional problems from living in a big city. She has many strange treatements, only a few of which made it into the documentary. My favorite one involves being hooked up to a machine and looking at a flower on a TV, then little sparkles start coming out of the flower… Notice the horror movie clown by the entrance of the office…
The actual documentary is narrated in Swiss-German. So I made a montage of some of the footage set to music as a kind of preview for us non Swiss-German speakers... I also filmed Megacities: Tokyo...
