Greetings all, this video was recorded live December 21st, 2010, at The Ossington in Toronto, Canada. Though it begins with a few still pictures, the actual video soon starts. This original song by Tichaona Maredza was inspired by the World Cup taking place in Africa. This song is also one of the first that was co-arraigned by all of us, with Mr. Gombiro coming up with the bass line, and Larry picking the catchy hook. "Pamberi" in Shona, a language spoken in Zimbabwe and Southern Africa, means "Forward" in English, the other line in the song "Kombererai" means "Bless." This video features a solo from Ruben Esguerra, our new percussionist, at the very end. A special thanks to Fred Kosak from the Creek River String Band for recording the film, and to The Ossington for having us.

The Tich Maredza Band is for hire. Our ensemble can fit your budget, and we need work. Send us an email at tichmaredzaband@gmail.com for booking. Look us up on facebook and become a fan! Check out our dates at myspace.com/tichmaredzaband
