I really like the organic feel, it reminds me of the intro title of an old news program that's floating around on youtube – can't remember the name :(

    you used expressions right?
  • Mattias Peresini 1 year ago
Yes, there are only expressions to animate the letters, no keyframes ;)
  • naim alwan 1 year ago
would you like to share the expressions you used??

we would all love to know. your videos kick ass.

    thanks

I dont know why, but vimeo don't like expressions... He cut my text when there is parenthese or other symboles...
I'll made a screenshoot of my project where you'll see the expression ;)

Here is a screenshoot of my project, with the expressions inside for the rotation and the auto decay :

    mattrunks.com/tuto/typoexpression/screen.png

You have to separate each letter in few layers, then parent them between themselves, and put the expression on the rotation property.
This expression is depending on the position of the layer in the timeline. So you have to place layer in the time depending on the order you want, like on my screen ;)

    Good luck !

thnks man, will giv it a go. what is the metadonnees pannel? never heard of it.

i see you have cs4, how is it?

    thanks for the fast reply.
  •
  • Mattias Peresini 1 year ago
the metadonnees pannel is a new feature of the CS4. It keep data from the import (onLocation), and keep them inside Premiere, and after, and Flash..

You can see a short example in video here : adobe.com/products/premiere/features/?view=topnew

Yes i have install CS4 and it looks good. No exciting new features in AE but cool little improvment that allow to work faster (news design interface, quick search, dinamyc link works great with premiere, and CS3 plugins works too on the CS4, so there is no bad news :) )
