My guitar and amp have rarely seen the light of day over the past few years but I was in a few bands when I was younger and they bring back a lot of good memories for me now.

Is it a coincidence that the name is finnish?!?! 0__o EXPLAIN YOURSELF!!!?!?!? And AAAAWESOME video and music. I do very similar stuff myself!! :)

Now, my friend Paul. That is an AMAZING SETUP!!!! I bet you get some RAD sounds from that huh? You should upload some of your actual playing? :P

Yes total coincidence, I hope it doesn't mean something nasty!

What?!?!? no actual sounds of your playing? Oh come on man, that gear is beeeyoootiful, honestly, classic set up, the Les Paul and the Fender Twin. Just fantastic. I kept waiting for the music to kick off with a blistering solo!!!

Lovely shots dude, lovely lighting. VERY nice work.

The easiest way to ruin a perfectly nice video would be for me to play guitar over it. :)

I like that it's a tease, it also reflects reality in a way as my enjoyment of the gear has long outlasted my talent to entertain with it. I still love playing it though, it doesn't go to waste I can assure you ;)

    Paul,
I agree with the previous poster. I really liked this video. Two of my sons play guitar. Both have tube amps and guitar collections. This captured what they both love about guitars and tube amps in a very short amount of video footage. That guitar of yours is beautiful, but I too was waiting to hear sound coming from it. I don't think you had to sound like Stevie Ray Vaughan to add that "final touch" to the video. Nice job and THANK YOU for not ruining it with fast motion video (the biggest negative to most of the videos here).

Any musicians who have played live realize how valuable a great amp and guitar are. And Paul Joy has hit that point with this video. With his Fender Twin and Gibson Les Paul makes us musicians understand how gorgeous these tools are. Bravo

EX1 & Brevis - a great combo - almost as good as a Les Paul and Fender Tube amp :-) really you should have thrown in a note or two from the guitar on the end.....

Thanks for all the nice comments, I can see the lack of actual guitar tone is a bit of a let down so maybe I'll remedy that on a later version. Mind you, I don't think the family would be too impressed with me if I cranked the amp up at 3am :)

I'm going to do a few experiments with this piece anyway and use it to try and learn bit more about story
making, maybe even add some voiceover etc.

    Great video Paul,
I have a 1978 Les paul Custom and a Peavy tube amp but sadly have not played in years.. Also have a 1962 Gibson J50 acoustic from my dad.. I know I really need to pick it up and play/learn again

It looks like a jib shot doesn't it. It was just a normal tripod move though.

Hi Paul, beautiful work, a really nice look about it.
I just sold my Black Les Paul Custom (Black Beauty)
My co-producer Lexx has me playing the Les Paul alongside my (Fender Custom Shop Crash Stratocaster)
But I would never sell my (totally original 1958 Fender Stratocaster) this is the sound!
    Check the Gibson out (vimeo.com/1916619)

Peerless mood setting and photography. Great and restrained sound.
But, as others....where was the RIFF! Then the cut.

Very nice again man, got a knack for making very great shorts. If you aren't already, you should be a DP out in Hollywood making the next big thing. Did you use any lights to make this video?
