yeah I couldn't get that "halo". very limited space to work with. essentially had to bounce the backlight off of the wall so everything's pretty soft. I wanna try different things soon...I'm so bad at lighting things hopefully I can get a better hang of this stuff, it's rather intimidating. Thanks a lot for the feedback. :-)

oh sweet. Yeah i think the problem was that there wasn't enough room. Because the light extends really high but we were in such a confined space. And the light, even on a boom arm or C stand would've taken up too much space. But lesson learned, choose a bigger space next time. haha.
