    Please explain why we can't say "baiser" for "kiss" but must use "embrasser" instead, but then if we want to say "embrace" we must also use "embrasser," so if we want to say "He embraced her but didn't kiss her" we must say....oh I don't know. I guess this means that if we embrace someone we *have to* kiss--it's the law!

    Wow ! I've read your comment like 5 times but I don't know how to answer. Hmm, "baiser" as a verb in common (familiar) french is "to f..k someone", so !!

    In old-fashioned French, "baiser" is like "le baiser" and "la fête du baiser" right? To me it seems weird that this word had to be replaced by "embrasser" in ordinary speech.

    whoa.. so those translators that I've been using.. they're telling that kiss = baiser.. OMG.. what if someone thinks I wanted to f--k them. NO GOOD!!!

    Still funny! I was smiling, and you said "stop smiling"! I was thinking, "I hope he shows himself trying to drink two glasses of water at the same time" and you did! And then I thought at the end, "I hope he shows the water splashing on him" and you did! hah Bravo!!

    hmm, not really but we can hear better the "r" that in mine. The "e" at the end is too prononced. It could be a sort of mix between mine and this one.
