Fred had ample reason to stay focused (and bitter) at all the rejection and suffering life had handed him. He became so filled with hurt that taking his life on an overdose of drugs seemed like the only way out of his misery.

It was NOT, and never is. Not for him. Not for anyone ELSE.

Each of us were created to glorify God. That's God's PRIMARY reason for creating each of us. Some are given huge amounts of financial wealth and physical and mental well-being, happy marriages with wonderful, obedient children, meaningful jobs, but the question will one day be readily apparent on the Judgment Day. "Did you honor God with your life while on Earth?"

Most people won't be blessed with huge amounts of financial wealth and blessing in most everything they decide to do. Rather - they will undergo a lot of suffering of various kinds. The SAME question applies to them come Judgment Day. "Did you purpose to HONOR Me during your time on Earth?"

When they realize the One asking them that question will be none other than Jesus Christ HIMSELF as the Bible says ... their is going to be a lot of STRESS in that moment in time for those who had little or no use for Jesus Christ and what He accomplished for them during their time on Earth.

Fred went through a lot of suffering to come to the sobering conclusion that staying bitter and angry at what life had handed him was a losing ticket that was putting a wedge further and further between him and God. NOW - Fred lives to try to convince people that to have a WINNING TICKET with God ... it requires a major attitude change. It starts with getting right with the Lord Jesus Christ, and what He accomplished for them by dying in their place on the cross -- when He didn't HAVE to -- but because of His love for lost sinners ... He couldn't keep Himself FROM it!
