In honor of Wyley and Ouida Wright, their children Jackie Wright, Joe Wright with wife Brenda, Stanley Wright with wife Viola, and Phyllis Cameron with husband Woodrow and their granddaughter Tiffanie Chiles-Mitchell with husband Carlos hosted the Simmons Family Reunion in San Francisco at the historic Westin St. Francisco Hotel.

Mostly Cousins of Wyley Wright, the Simmons usually have their reunion on the eastern seaboard from Jacksonville, Florida to Poughkeepsie, New York. After years of migrating to San Francisco, the Wright children found out that San Francisco would have been the first city their father returned home to if he had survived Viet Nam.

The July 4th Weekend honored Wyley Wright, December 7, 1931-March 9, 1964 & Ouida McLendon Wright, Jan. 10, 1935-March 9, 1970. This reunion video with family, friends, and performances by Infinity Productions' Mary Booker, Tiffany Fuller & Verna Howard and Blind R&B Singer Rufus Wonder at the Empress of China Restaurant is a work in progress.

Thanks to everyone who traveled across country to attend. Special Thanks to Ida Mae Bennett and Annie Mae Bordeaux for keeping the reunion going. Ida had to be hospitalized the night of the banquet but insisted we carry on and suggested the reunion be brought back to Florida. With sister Annie Mae and daughter Netta (Vanessa) at her side, she recuperated quickly, Thanks to the Lord! It will be held in Jacksonville, Florida in 2012.
