"La Garde Républicaine" is the french horseguard mounted police force. Their headquarters are in Paris. This special unit is part of Gendarmerie, a nationwide military police force. Garde Républicaine also includes motorbikers for official escorts, dogs for drugfinding, and various vehicles.
This video was recorded on September 27 2008 during "open days" of Garde Republicaine. Made and uploaded to Vimeo as a tribute to this traditional and historical unit.
