So was there music playing when they were shooting?
  • jacob krupnick plus 1 year ago
Hi Sung -- Yes, we're playing music for the dancers in hidden places to move alongside to. This was our first day of filming, so future production should be more polished.

Loved the dancers and love Girl Talk, just saw him here in Houston.

Nice! I'm envious. Though I've been a listener since his first major release, I've never seen him in person. There's a great documentary about his work and the legal rights that surround it called Rip: A Remix Manifesto. Take a look at ripremix.com

Yeah. Respect. This is awesome, and your lady Anne dancer is seriously rocking my world. I came to Girl Talk through Remix Manifesto and am loving this album... really looking forward to seeing the rest of the project.

When Remix Manifesto was on Pitchfork TV a couple years ago, I watched it all over lunch one day. Wonderful + inspiring piece. Thanks for shouting at us.
  • Medlo plus 11 months ago
Totally - I caught it at Sheffield Documentary Film Festival and it pretty much spoke about everything that we'd been doing at that time - fascinating and important movie.

What did you shoot this on? I love the cinematography. Did you use a Steadicam for the moving shots?
  • jacob krupnick plus 11 months ago
Thanks Michael. We're shooting with Canon DSLRs and a couple different stabilizing tools. Trying to keep it small so we're discreet.

Hey, great video. I'm green with envy at the calibre of your dancers. We tried this a couple of years ago in the middle of a cold NY Winter (vimeo.com/19390274) ; it was REALLY fun but clearly, I could use some help on my dance moves! :-)

Jacob, this is wicked fun and beautiful. I just visited your website and realized I met you with a girlfriend of mine at the Wedding Crashers fair a few weeks ago. You were so modest about your video and photography interests . . . Anyway, this brought a huge smile to my face, and thanks for that! I look forward to seeing the final product -- and, as a tap dancer myself, I too wonder if you can't somehow work in the sounds of those taps.
