I made a 2D waveguide mesh external for Max/MSP/Jitter. It models vibrations on an idealized membrane. This movie shows the RMS average amplitude over the membrane, excited by a sinewave sweep. The point of excitation (x=0.5, y=0.65) can be seen as a bright dot in the middle of the lower part of the mesh.
