Ergo Pictures made a drama! Hope we don't lose subscribers en masse... Oh well.

Four people: a bossy tough guy, a humble homeowner, a skittish teenager, and a collected young girl, find themselves held up in a house, hiding from... something. How long before they're driven crazy by their fear? These are the steps that lead to insanity.

This short was created for the Campus Movie Fest '08 at CSU Northridge. We had a week to plan, shoot, and edit, and we somehow managed. Unfortunately, we didn't make it to the regionals, so we hope you all enjoy it instead! The original version was only 5 minutes long, so this is the full cut, much longer, much better.

Directed by Christopher Sherwood.

i really liked it, however, i noticed that u broke the 180 degree rule at 1:58-2:03.

The 180 rule is not concrete. It is broken often.

In fact, at that instant it works out best. Gives it a very frantic feel. Unstable and chaotic like they characters are.

I actually wish we hadn't in that scene, but I'm glad it worked! My cameraman doesn't often acknowledge that "the line" exists. XD

    Nah, I think it works.

This certainly was better than most of the stuff at the Campus MovieFest.

That's good to know! I was beginning to doubt myself... thanks for the comment!

You video should have been shown as well, "The Chemistry Between Us" was better than that silly drama about the guy who was cheated on.

It's not perfect. None of our work is perfect, there is always room for perfection but it was certainly superior to that garbage that was at CMF. *grumble* Student & Faculty judged *grumble*

what did you shoot this on?
  • Ergo Pictures 3 years ago
We shot it on a Canon XH-A1. We used a basic worklight for lighting (I wouldn't recommend it XD) and I used The Grading Sweet for color correction.
