On September 19, 2010, Cassandra Meador delivered her son, Bobby James Dunkley Meador. Soon after delivery, Bobby - who was extremely premature - died. Because of a loophole in West Virginia's law, the hospital was could not issue a birth certificate for Bobby. Without a birth certificate, his parents could not get a death certificate. Without a death certificate, they could not bury Bobby. Instead, they took Bobby's body home in a box and stored him in their refrigerator until they could convince a funeral home to bury Bobby in the same grave as his grandfather.
