I am so tired of this current spate of bike helmet promotion here in Denmark. Not to mention the organisations that ignore science and prefer fearmongering.

After six months of reading up on the science of bike helmets and creating the website cykelhjelm.org I figured a little satire was in order.

Very very funny video,hope you don`t mind we put it on our club website.I wear a helmet and encourge it.

No need to say that helmet doesn`t not save a person in a serious traffic accident. The most important is the great promoting compaign for rising and developing a driving culture. Culture of driving is the key. At least I think so...
Helmet wearing is like a fearful complex in the country with such a great bike culture.

This is tricky, Helmets do protect people, but at the same time having a larger proportion of the population cycling does so even more. The issue is, would making people where helmets have a negative effect on the number of people cycling. If the answer to this is yes, then it should not be mandatory to wear one, on safety grounds, as more cyclists equals more safety for cyclists.
