The course focuses on "outrage management" -- how to reduce people's concern about low-hazard high-outrage risks. This selection addresses two key outrage management strategies: sharing control with stakeholders, and (when you're unable or unwilling to share control) setting up accountability mechanisms so stakeholders can at least watch and criticize.
