Birds I Saw presents images of birds I photographed over the past few years. I use mostly simple point-and-shoot digital cameras, including some fairly low megapixel cameras, as well as ultra-zoom point and shoot.
The images mostly were taken in north Texas, although some images are from Arizona, Colorado, Costa Rica, Oklahoma, and the Texas gulf coast.
The images are all available at flickr.com, user gurdonark, and are licensed under a Creative Commons attribution license. In other words, you may use them
with attribution to me, Robert Nunnally (Gurdonark).
The music here is by Red Sun Soundroom. The song is entitled "Meditation 01", from the album "Birth Music I".
This album is available from iTunes, emusic, amazon.com, and other music repositories. I highly recommend this work. Mr. Peter Koniuto, who is Red Sun Soundroom, graciously licensed me the right to use his song.
I love birds. I am not a profoundly knowledgeable birder, with life lists in hand and a quick recall of genus and species. I feel good that I can identify most of what I see much of the time, as a decent early-stage intermediate birder. To me, though, the importance in loving birds is not in lists and literature, but in the sheer joy of seeing them as they live their own lives.
