Interview: Tim Jennings (Butler Group): The role of BI in innovation

BI has the potential to be a disruptive technology within the organization and an enabler of innovation. We will look at the concept of “inside innovation”, using BI to improve operational efficiency and process performance, and enhance the competitive position. We will also discuss innovation outside the organization, and the use of BI in a collaborative role to enable interactions with business partners and customers, and the rapid evolution of business models. The presentation will examine the technology and organizational change that is required to take advantage of this model, and show some examples of companies that have benefited.
