On 12|30|2010 Dan Dawson of the Santa Cruz Flying Club and a good friend invited me to say goodbye to 2010 in the best possible way... a flight over the SF Bay.
I was given the opportunity to take my camera (5D MarkII) up into an airplane to do some of my first ever in flight filming. A small challenge in a Cessna 150 when everything is handheld out the window.
There was no plan to put this piece together at the time we planned the flight. I had brought my camera bag along (includes a gopro) just to film the golden gate bridge if the day would be clear enough. I don't know that it was clear, but it was not socked in like it typically can be.
The result is some relatively shaky footage with a limited horizon line and a fun little piece that documents our flight. Some of the footage has been trimmed down from it original length, but all the footage is raw (you will notice I added a slight vignette in post).
