LISA (Laboratory for Interdisciplinary Statistical Analysis) provided a series of evening short courses to help graduate students use statistics in their research. The focus of these two-hour courses was on teaching practical statistical techniques for analyzing or collecting data.

Intro to SAS
Instructor: Mark Seiss
This short course provides an introduction to SAS statistical software and is intended for people that have little or no experience using SAS. The course will be broken down into 3 sections. The first section introduces SAS datasets and the process of importing data into SAS. Section 2 provides an overview of the procedures that can be used to summarize the datasets such as descriptive statistics, plots, and frequency tables. Section 3 will describe common procedures that are used for statistical analysis including correlation, association, ANOVA, linear regression, and logistic regression.
