This movie is of the Deep Six Dive Group diving Fortune Pond. Fortune Pond is located near Crystal Falls Michigan, which is about 30 miles west of Iron Mountain Michigan. Fortune Pond is an abandoned open pit iron mine. There is a small county park on the east side with a small parking lot and a dock. Fortune pond gets deep rather quickly and the water is forty feet deep at the end of the dock. The waters are very clear as you will see in this video and you can clearly see the bottom from the end of the dock.
This is truly a place to visit for the diver. Other places claim to have excellent visibility, Fortune pond really has it! You don't need to take my word for it though, we'll let the camera do the talking. Enjoy!
