Umoja VI, a 2-day conference held at Orange Coast College in November 2010, is a first of its kind: an entirely student-run, student-organized professional development event designed for community college faculty.

Umoja is a community of educators and learners committed to the academic success, personal growth and self-actualization of African American and other students. The Umoja Community seeks to educate the whole student–body, mind and spirit.
