Alabama citizens have come to expect liberal Democrats to ignore both the U.S. and the Alabama Constitutions and attack our individual rights at every opportunity. But as hard as it is to comprehend, many of our Alabama conservative Republicans appear to be either totally misinformed, or totally uninterested, in defending Alabama’s citizens from the massive threat posed by Sustainable Development. These so-called Sustainable Development Programs are nothing short of an all out broad based attack upon our citizens, under the world wide socialist agenda known as “Agenda 21” which envisions the destruction of our property rights and individual liberties.
This five minute video is an excerpt from the U.S. Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs, Chaired and Co-chaired by Senator Chris Dodd (D) and Senator Richard Shelby (R). On June 9, 2010 the Committee heard testimony in favor of the Sustainable Communities Act. No testimony in opposition was presented, nor was one word uttered in defense of individual property rights by our elected officials.
Julia W. Gouge, spoke in support of the Sustainable Communities Act for the National Association of Counties (NACo). Ms. Gouge was a candidate for Lieutenant Governor of Maryland on the Republican ticket in 1994. She is currently a member of the Carroll County Republican Central Committee, and President of the Carroll County Commission.
Ms. Gouge, in her five minute presentation, describes glowingly NACo’s twenty plus years’ effort to implement Sustainable Development at the local level.
Despite Ms. Gouge’s words of admiration for Sustainable Development, the truth is, implementation of Sustainable Development Policies will abolish private property rights, institute social justice (socialism), destroy the already teetering economy and eliminate the last vestiges of our national sovereignty.
Complicit in the implementation process of Sustainable Development here at home in Alabama, and following in the footsteps of Ms. Gouge, is the Association of County Commissions of Alabama. A flyer describing the Association’s taxpayer funded political agenda is available at: tinyurl.com/4d68ty3
Supposed conservatives/constitutionalists, such as the Alabama Delegation to the United States Congress, have to this point in time, remained silent on the issue of Sustainable Development. Therefore, they too are complicit in the implementation process of SD.
Our Judicial System is quick to point out that “Ignorance of the Law,” is no defense. The converse should also be true. Ignorance of the harmful effects of laws passed or moneys appropriated by our elected officials should not provide them an excuse. These officials must be held accountable, whatever their reasons, for their lack of action, when they fail to rise in defense of the citizens who elected them.
Alabama’s state motto is “We Dare Defend Our rights.” Such was in times past, our State’s reputation and our pride. Sadly, other state legislatures have now far surpassed Alabama in the defense of their citizens’ rights. One such state is Oklahoma.
As example: The Oklahoma Republican Party’s thirty page Platform is the antithesis of their reticent Republican Party bedfellows. When the tenets of the Oklahoma Republican Platform are implemented, private property rights will be secure, social justice will be known as a deceptive agenda to divide and conquer, monetary stability will be restored and national sovereignty will be reestablished.
The following is one plank from their Oklahoma Platform that speaks directly to and counters Ms. Gouge’s testimony. “We oppose the adoption of any United Nations sustainable development “Agenda 21” initiatives into the governmental planning authorities, policies, or body of law of the United States of America.”
The members of the Oklahoma Republican Party have risen in defense of their state and their nation and they should be admired and emulated by our own Legislature. The Oklahoma Republican Party Platform is available at: tinyurl.com/475gnmj
What can you do? Call Governor Bentley and your representative to the Alabama State Legislature and ask them to support official policy legislation similar to Oklahoma’s that disavows any allegiance to Sustainable Development. The bill number will be announced ASAP.
Next, call your County Commissioners and tell them to withdraw your County’s funding for the Association of County Commissions of Alabama, where your own property tax dollars are actually being used to take your property rights away and to increase your taxes at every level..
Then, become informed on the subject of Sustainable Development (at keepourrights.org ) and call for municipalities and county commissions to rescind the adoption of comprehensive plans that contain the tenets of Sustainable Development.
Remember - ignorance, complacency, and a lack of will to act will only ensure implementation of Sustainable Development and further undermine the founding principles of our Republic.
