Valentine's Day is without question one of the most polarizing holidays of the year. If you are in love, it is a chance to celebrate your romance. For others in love, it is a day of unnecessary burdens and high expectations to fulfill. For others still, it is a bitter, hateful day and many would rather celebrate Single's Awareness Day rather than what they believe to be a Hallmark-created holiday. It seems like there are many different takes on the holiday with no room for common ground.
That is, until now. In honor of this day, I present to you all a video power hour that represents everything Valentine's Day has to offer: the good, the bad, and the ugly. This video contains sixty one-minute clips that rotate back and forth from negative to positive romantic experiences. The clips are from various music videos, television shows, and movies. When you hear the J. Geils Band, expect a bitter love song to be forthcoming. When you hear the cast of Across the Universe, expect a happy, romantic song to be coming up next. So, this begs the question: How should we ultimately view Valentine's Day? Why, that's the perfect discussion to have with your friends after seeing the video of course!
