In the mid 1980's I worked for a television station in Tampa, Florida (WTOG-TV) and our anchorman, John Nicholson, did a story profiling a very talented local singer and songwriter by the name of Michael Geddes. I was able to shoot a couple of his performances both in a club and in a recording studio, only portions of which made it into the final story on air. I was so taken with his work that rather than erase the tapes I saved them and, at the time, edited some of the B-roll over the songs so there would be full versions of them. One of those, "Stars in my Sky," I've also posted here on Vimeo. This song, "Hero," is from the original 3/4" video tape (standard def) that has been in my closet for years. I hope this video finds Michael Geddes and his family well, after all these years, and that he's still performing from his heart.
