I created this video to help teach a number of boys who have autism and other attention deficit learning disabilities about street safety.

These boys (in particular) really enjoyed beatboxing sounds and were obsessed with Bakugan, a popular cartoon. Thus, I a combined the two elements to at least attempt to get the boys interested in watching the video. Short-attention span for learning was a huge obstacle.

It turned out that the boys not only were interested in the video, but would watch it over and over again. This allowed the family to use the language (or "script") and make it meaningful to the children when they naturally would practice street safety in their neighbourhoods.

This video served as a frame of reference for the children to learn how to safely cross the road with an adult. The parents were inspired and now create their own videos to teach other life skills that they are now developmentally ready to learn.
