Im sure youve heard this before, but in fact DTT was working wonderfully to control malaria, but then along came a book called "Silent Spring" and lead to the banning of DTT. As a result millions have died from malaria.

As it turns out, the inventor of the chemical actually ate a spoonful of it daily to demonstrate its harmless nature. He eventually died.....at the ripe old age of 88.
