“Vote For Hope” was written to encourage and inspire the hip hop generation—and everyone—to get involved, and contribute their time, energy, creativity, and other resources to be the change they want to see in the world. We have been inspired by the artistic and musical contributions that have been pouring out across the nation in support of Barack Obama's historic campaign. Vote for Hope is our offering to this creative movement. It is our way of adding our small voice to the collective voice of millions of Americans calling for a change.

Its sad but this video helped usher in 10,000 years of darkness for america that will take a long time to climb out of. I voted for an idea, not an idealist. Theres clearly a leninist in the white house after all. Dont vote Obama, because you love America! I voted obama but after witnessing the dirty truth they dont show you on the news... I wouldn't say it's going to be 10,000 years of darkness. I voted for an idea as well, but like most ideas - the "good" ones are the most subjective to the nation as a whole. I know that people like to complain about the situation, but that's why we took the initiative into our own hands to make this music video in the 48 hours we could. Why sit around and be complacent when you could be inspiring different perspectives? Video is an excellent medium to tell a story or spread a message. However, in terms of "lies" - you have to understand that the President doesn't get to make law on his own, congress votes on whether or not things get passed, and they usually vote for their political party's "best interest." If you want to be angry at someone, be angry at the Tea Party, because no one is stopping them.

years ago an artist wasn't "allowed" to express his pollitical point of view. Why? Is the artist not ruled by someone he voted? Didn't an artist vote? An artist is more than just his public image.

Can I ask how much time it took to create the motion graphics?

Animated and composited in after effects, assets were created in both photoshop and illustrator. we didn't have enough time to create storyboards or draft a huge plan. I was basically handed the track, given some reference images and told to "run with it." The whole process all the way to the final renders took 50 hours.

I need to remind all of you younger people that not all older people are like McCain. As an African American woman who is 55 I am real cool and I have been working grassroots for close to 40 years and producung progressive and radical radio for 25 years.
