Amish, your dedication to our videos never fails to surprise/inspire us.

Serge, believe it or not I just ran hundreds of circles on the ice rink via running shoes. Without lying, I did fall on my bum once while attempting a low mode shot; everyone laughed it off as I admit it was hilarious.

Luckily I semi- saw it coming and grabbed the sled right away so none of the gear hit the ice. =)

it is important to say! excellent, very good ...

  • i really think you are doing some of the best wedding videography i have seen. i know these are same day, so i know you don't have a lot of time to tweak the color, i'm wondering if you have some sort of mb looks effect or something that you always apply. . . .

very very impressive video, may i ask, how many people or cameras do you bring with you on a typical shoot?

Hi Stalls Video, personally I've breifly experimented with MB Looks but have yet to use it. I do find that stock Magic Bullet Presets come close but don't quite give the overall look that we try hard to achieve; so we usually modify and/or create custom colour presets of our own.

  • hey, thanks for responding. i think your look is perfect for wedding videos. it is very blown out (but in a good way) yet at the same time i feel you crush the blacks just a bit. and the saturation is deep.... keep up the good work!

Phil, the above SDE was shot by me and Tony, and edited mostly by myself; so two people in this case.

However, in our premium SDE's, such as Thomas & Allie's SDE we had 3 of us; Konrad, Patrick & myself. Hence we can push things a level further.

As for number of camera's; the general rule is the more the better (hehe), but every member of the team owns at least 3 cameras; so we try to make the most of them from there.

    Hope this helps.

  • stillmotion! wow what a parallel your cinematography and pacing is nothing short of amazing! I stumbled across your blog 2 weeks ago and have since watched every single one of your videos (and some multiple times). Your style and creativity have inspired me beyond measure in my own pursuit of becoming a masterful artisan of emotion! Anyway I digress, I really want to learn from your team everything that I can. Keep up the INCREDIBLE work!

You guys are inspiring. Please keep filming, editing and creating to keep me up to speed on how it should be done.

I know you guys don't want to reveal any secrets but I will ask anyway. What cameras are you using? I am assuming you have a 35mm adaptor on one or all of them.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi F_LO_RES

We use primarily Canon XH-A1's coupled with Cinevate's Brevis 35 adapters. The adapters are paired with Canon EOS & FD lenses.
