Very nice work. You obviously put a lot of work into this. The wildlife shots were great. How did you get that close? Also, liked the slow shutter speed fram blending on some of the waterfall shots.

Hi Mark. All this was shot during a 10-days holliday in june 2007. I had the privilige knowing the region from previous visits. Animals, like the Ibex, are not so shy in this preserved part of the Alps, so I didn't use a shelter, just tried to gain their confidence. It's really a kind of garden of eden in our crowded continent. Nice knowing you, will watch your videos with great interest very soon.

Great piece of video, really enjoyed watching it. I like the length of the shots, and the steadiness of them, just wondered of you turn your stabilizer off, and just use a good tripod.

Thank you Brian. I always use a tripod for this kind of work and switch off the image stabilizer.

Ik had dit gisteren al bekeken
Verbluffend hoe dicht dat je bij de dieren kon filmen

    Great stuff

Het lijkt verbluffend, maar ze zijn best tam. Met de herten in onze ardennen heb ik het héél wat moeilijker.

I really like your new edit "ALPINE MEMORIES" but this one still works best for me.
  • Greenwave plus 2 years ago
    Maybe because of the music?
  • 4Moorhens2 plus 2 years ago
Not really any specific ingredient (although I do like the location sounds of the mountain stream and waterfalls in this one,) just the overall indescribable "feel" of the piece.

I think this is an amazing piece of work. At about 2 mins you have a shot of waterfalls - did you use a filter on that? It's an effect I've seen a few times and wondering if you used something like an ND8 filter?
  • Greenwave plus 2 years ago
Jon, Thanks for your kind comment. I did not use any filter; the waterfalls were shot with the camera's 'slow shutter speed' and (important!) using a tripod.
