We discovered last week in the first chapter of John, that a disciple of Jesus, a 'mathetes' (meaning learner in the Greek New Testament), will primarily be one who is committed to learn to live like Jesus.
In John chapter 2, we see Jesus attending a wedding with his disciples. Everything seems normal until Jesus is asked to step in and solve a problem at the party; the wine has run out. What happens next should tell us something profound about the message Jesus is trying to communicate on earth. What is Jesus is telling us about his Kingdom through his first miracle? Who are the only people who actually realize a miracle has taken place?
