Gridplane was called upon by Portland-based creative agency, The Great Society, to create an interactive running shrine to serve as the primary vehicle of their Running’s #1 Super Fans campaign. The campaign features Carl and Karl Underwood, two hyperactive running fanatics who make macaroni sculptures of their favorite runners and a diorama of the Boston marathon finish line.
The web site was a true collaboration between many creative folks. A shrine was built, objects were found (and some created in 3D), bobble heads were made, photo and video shoots were held, stories were crafted and code was written. We made it to the finish line just in time for the 2009 Boston Marathon.
