Meyer Sound at NAMM 2011

Meyer Sound at NAMM 2011

Michael Coleman

For its first formal participation at the NAMM Show in more than a decade, Meyer Sound has announced a full slate of product demonstrations at Demo Room 212B at the Anaheim Convention Center. Live musicians will give curious visitors a taste of the Constellation acoustic system and its ability to alter the acoustical properties of a performance venue. Special guest Bob Weir (formerly of the Grateful Dead) will add his perspective on the Constellation system recently installed at his personal recording facility. Visitors will also hear the MINA line array loudspeaker, which packs an impressive sonic fidelity and power into a compact enclosure.

NAMM attendees will experience firsthand Constellation's unique capability to transform the acoustical characteristics of multipurpose venues and recreate the acoustics of a small recital hall, a massive cathedral, and everything in between. Meyer Sound's new D-Mitri digital audio platform will be shown in action serving as the backbone for the Constellation system. While traditionally installed in performance venues, Constellation provided an electronic orchestra shell for the "Star Wars: In Concert" tour, allowing musicians to properly hear each other despite the large arena setting. Constellation was also recently installed in the personal recording facility, TRI, for legendary guitarist and songwriter Bob Weir, who will be speaking about his new state-of-the-art facility
