Last April, GOOD sponsored a project with LAUSD to design a school garden. 60 designers and educators all over the world submitted their vision to green an asphalt-covered schoolyard. Five finalists were selected, and the design teams attended a workshop to refine their concepts so they could be made shovel-ready for LAUSD. During the Martin Luther King Day weekend, GOOD helped to build one of the garden designs, the Four Square Garden by Jill Desimini, at 28th Street Elementary School in downtown L.A.
