Very nice work.. i think the stuff comes from VCP- Andrew Kramer but the ideas are great! - I like that ink.mov files from the riot gear an the way you use them. Looks like bleeding Hands in some dark water.
  • Tadas Svilainis 1 year ago
The idea was to achieve that bleeding in water effect using those ink videos, but I'm not happy with the final result. Thank's for comment!

I like it a lot but I do think credit due where credits deserved, the cell tutorial, twitch, riotgear pack ya know!
  • Tadas Svilainis 1 year ago
Oh, you are so smart. Twitch & Riotgear are products that you buy, so you dont need to give credits for them, or maybe I should thank Adobe, Autodesk? Yes, cells scene are inspired by VCP but its not copied, its improvised. Thanks for comment, Alex.

I guess some people are open about there ideas and others feel they should be secretive! as you can see with most of your replies, Im not on my own thinking this!
  • Tadas Svilainis 1 year ago
As I mentioned before, I don't deny that some stuff from VCP is used in this video, it's learning curve, you see it and then try to do smth better. But what the point is to post comments like "Oh, it's VCP" and so on? Is it wrong that I'm inspired to create Impermanence by them? And after all, Alex, I'm grateful for your opinion and interest. Cheers!

I'm not saying what you have done isnt good far from it, im my first comment I said " I Like it a lot" the point I was picking up on (which I think you have missed) is that it'd have been nice to share your process a bit... for e.g if I didnt know about video copilot and riotgear ect it'd be nice to have a comment saying where you got idea's from. What im saying is you got inspiration from those places it's nice to reference them sometimes to give credit and help a fellow amature film maker out!

Sorry for my incomprehension, I was tired and pissed up. In upcoming projects I'll try to share more about creation process and insprirational sources. Thank's!

WOW, great visual..... I find it hard to believe that so many people comment about VCP. Honestly, I think that they are just trying to let you know that they know what VCP is and have tried to use it themselves. Problem is, unlike you they are stuck with the tutorials and no vision and you use your vision and the product to create. Isn't using Twitch and other products the exact same as using the built in effects in A.E. Photoshop and others? People use effects ever single day without giving credit. it is not our job to ADVERTISE (for free) what we use to get the job done. In saying that I will say (for free) that I love VCP. Andrew is a freak of nature!! Sorry for the long post...... all i wanted to say was I love your work!! hahaha

I agree with you Paul, but on the other hand I think everybody have a right to say their opinion. It's great to hear that you like my video and thank you for such circumstantial comment.

Great work ! I too am inspired by online tutorials to better my CG skills. I like your visual style . Just about every video I make I always sync to some NIN it just goes with my animation styles so well. EX. play reptile to vimeo.com/4860613 or youtube.com/watch?v=aKVWJ1WuXnMI just wish I had the rights to some NIN tracks . Keep up the good work my friend.
