awesome! Glidetrack looks a treat! perhaps i should grab one over the indieslider. you can mount this on the floor and on tripod right?

As for the video, your work always has a nice flow to it, so keep posting Voodles mate, im always quick to click the play button with your stuff :)

    Thanks Liam.

Yes the Glidetrack can be mounted on a tripod although it does not come with any fittings so you have to source those yourself. it has a standard tripod thread in the rail and bolt in the sliding plate.

I fitted mine to my Manfrotto 525 / 503 by simply fitting a camera plate to the bottom of it and mounting it on the fluid head. This works fine if your very careful but you have to hang on to the camera in case something gives in the bowl etc and the camera runs of down the track on it's own!

    Hi Paul,
I have become addicted to random and meaningless videos...I will be making one of my own soon.

My Glidetrack has arrived and I am indeed pleased with the potential of the gadget. (I have stuck Morston Mud in my favourites.)

I know what you mean about the bowl of the 503 tripod it can slip unless locked down with the strength of ten men. You have even more kit on top of yours.

Nevertheless I am excited at the prospect of using the device in earnest....bring it on!

Great video! I love Dalmatians. Great low light camera. Would a glidetrack support a Cannon XL-2 do you think?
  • Paul Joy plus 7 months ago
I can't imagine the XL-2 is heavier than the EX1 & Brevis so yes, but I'd have gone for the HD glidetrack if it had been available when I purchased.

Hi Alan, yes sorry about that the forum was being bombarded with spam so I had to close it.

Contact me through my blog anytime and I'll get back to you.

Hi paul, i was wondering how you got the shot at 00:40 without getting the track in the shot. Did you zoom in? Also when you say it doesn't come with any fittings, what do you mean? I am assuming i can just attatch it to my velbon tripod?

    Nice video btw :)
