Greenhouse Effect Mixtape; Actor 1987 and Phil Keegan on guitar with Clarks Higgins singing lead vocals here. This three piece band presented an unusual presentation format what with a drummer on lead vocals and a now - very loud guitarist playing unstandard middle-eastern type riffs as he wore knee pads like high fiving the crowd ala Ritchie Blackmore. The ego-ism of G.e. often got on the nerves of fans who simply wanted to enjoy the music, Clark Hagins would often tell jokes and demean the crowd with off-color political humor that seemed to have no place in rock music but could be funny nonetheless at times. Often, G.e. came off as 'too smart' for their crowds and their own good and the band dissolved in 1990 amid controversy with L.A's Bam magazine as well as infighting with each other. Today in 2008, G.e. returns with a tour and a new album; RE-EDUCATION with professional surfer Hagan Kelley on drums with Clarks Higgins.
