Bravo! Bravo! Although I must admit I predicted what the story was about about 1/3rd through I must admit that this was done Great! Very distrubing, very dark! Great Acting! Technical stuff was great too!
One thing that bothered me was the cinematography though, I wish it was a bit darker to match the mood of the story.
    Great job!!!

I am glad I am not the only one to think that Folkestone is a great place to shoot.

Would love to see more work from the DOP and director

"we should be asking for forgiveness from those we've harmed", & the human to human part. Really great. ;)

Very nice. Did you have to do much ADR on this?
  • Joe Shaw plus 11 months ago
No ADR on this. We had a great sound recordist, so were lucky to get it all on the day.

That's awesome! I figured the way the wind was blowing it would have been murder on the recordist. All my films seem to suffer from poor sound design so I know how important quality is in that area.

Joe, really enjoyed your short, I was wondering what format you shot on? At first it looked like Sony EX with Letus adapter but the images appeared sharper than what I have achieved using that combo, can you let me know, cheers

It was the EX1 with Letus adapter. Good quality lenses and a good DP in Philip Bloom will have contributed to the quality of the image.
