Please note that this video has no sound - it's a deaf short film and the aim is that by watching it in silence, you'll take in the signing more... hopefully!
This comedy features four deaf men arguing in sign language about their childhood, growing up in a deaf family. There's £10 on the table for the winner with the worst tale!
I made this to showcase the full expression and physical communication in deaf people and sign language.
I come from a deaf family myself, and my aim was to present the type of people and storytelling that you would see in a typical deaf club on a Friday night. Storytelling is a constant theme of deaf life, and jokes are more the way the story is told, than the punchline. Hopefully you'll see that in the film.
This video got over 75,000 views on You Tube, and we recently made a sequel, called 'Four Deaf Yorkshiremen and the Missing Wife'
