Pity it has a focus on "creating software" and at the very end I would have liked the narrator to say "one experience at a time" rather than "one screen at a time" as UX to me is not only about 'screens'.
1) Saw that Konigi shared the "ILUVUXDESIGN" video on Twitter.
2) Watched it and fell in love with it.
3) Sent it to my fellow UX teammates at House Party Inc.
4) Dialed into meeting in which my boss showed the video to everyone via GoToMeeting!
5) Sent the video to my parents so that they can finally understand what the heck it is that I do.
Beautifully done. Hooray - now the UX community has a fun new way to explain to people what we do for a living!
Have you seen my second tribute? You can find it on Vimeo or on iluvuxdesign.com.
thanks for all the wonderful responses!
It really warms my UX heart.
:-)
This is useful for a wide variety of audiences, not just us ux types. Yet, for us... warm and fuzzy all over. I love natural science documentaries.
PS. Disagree w/Niklas Wolkert about "software" (the U is for user, the most HCI-related term after computer), but agree about "screens".
Did you really think you could use an iconic sound effect like Ben Burt's Chewbaca growl from STAR WARS without anyone noticing??? *Please* tell me you got permission! Otherwise, this makes the UX community look really lame :-(
Christine
my mother too!
Give good UX-Design the attention it deserves and keep spreading the Love!
