Franklin River Packrafting
Packrafting through the Franklin-Gordon Wild Rivers National Park in Tasmania, Australia using Alpacka Rafts during January 2011. A five day adventure with whitewater and challenging portages.
The Franklin may be the best multi-day whitewater trip in the Southern Hemisphere -- more than 100 km through the 3.5 million acre, pristine, untouched Tasmanian World Heritage Area (Includes Franklin-Gordon Wild Rivers NP, Cradle Mountain-Lake St. Clair NP, and Southwest NP).
Paddlers include Bill Hatcher, C. Roman and Roman Dial.
