I am fascinated with biology and natural history. In another life I would be a scientist and quite happy to spend my existence tracking down new species of life. The evolution of the eye is an interesting thing. The first jump into optics probably would have been a portion of the skin that was very sensitive to sunlight. Later this turned into a rounder shape. At this point the creature would be able to detect light and dark a bit easier. This particular video is about the eye of an insect as vision is perceived as well as the beauty of the actual eye itself from the outside.
