I'm interested in the DVcreator kit 1.
But how many gels come with it, and what colors?
Also will I be needing a generator or something like that, or can I just plug these straight into the wall of a home or office?
Thank you,
Trey Vollmer
There is a set of 3 Full Day Blue (CTB), 1 Frost, 1 ND 3. lowel.com/gels.html These lights can be plugged directly into standard household sockets. A standard 20A breaker can handle all three lights. It's a good idea to separate them though, especially if other devices are plugged in.
Guy
How do I get the bulb into the Tota. It seems very difficult? Also I have been handling the bulbs (cold/off) with my bare hands. Is this bad?
Thank you,
Trey
Here is a link to the PDF instruction manual on the Lowel site lowel.com/download/Tota-light.pdf
There will be a bit of tension when inserting the bulb. I know it's a bit late, but the bulbs are not to be touched with bare hands. I use either the paper that the bulbs comes with, gloves, or handle only by the edges.
The DV Enlightenment DVD from DVcreators talks a bit about the handling of bulbs and shows the tota light in action. Have you seen it? dvcreators.net/dv-enlightenment/
