Another test with the f1.4d lens in the backyard, I shot this handheld, wasn't so bad to control, maybe I'm getting better at it...

...from what I could see because the video doesn't work on Vimeo and the AVC codec used in the download does play jerky in QT on Mac.
By the way if you're bothered by stairsteps:

The problem with playing the downloaded file in QT was a bad compression from Premiere CS3, I compressed the file with Sorenson and this time it seems ok...
Thanks for the link about the stairsteps.
The colours look great.
I did some CC in premiere CS3, just played with contrast and saturation a bit.
Thanks again. B
The iso and shutter speed constantly adjust in live view but you can stop the camera from acting like this by pressing AE-L (you need to change it to HOLD in the menu)
What I do is, I move the camera until what I see in live view pleases me than I press AE-L. If I want a darker image I move the camera in a brighter direction and brighter one in a darker direction... hope it make sens :)
I didn't use any ND filter.

I am an animator. But i am considering to buy this cam for some test shooting.
I'm Happy that you got the go ahead for the D90 :)
You will love the 50mm 1.4 lens, especially for portraits and DOF.
By the way the title is "So they say" by J Gaines & The Soul Attorneys.
Again, very very nice footage, the your kids are so cute, and the video captures the innocence of youth so so well. I can picture pretty much any song from Don Henley's "end of the innocence" album going well with this.
I will keep in mind Don Henley's songs for futures clips. Great ideas.
720p (1280x720) is one of the "HDTV" resolutions. So yes it is HD.
I'd like to know, what's the background music artist and name?
