Lam Bin Tung is an artisan from a small village in China , he makes exquisite hand crafted wooden toilet seats. But with China's recent upsurgence in the world market his craft is dying , plastic seats are now mass produced and are now the norm. So Lam Bin Tung has packed up his tools and travelled to London , England, the birth place of the toilet seat, where all his dreams will most certainly come true,or will they?
Shot in two days in London SOHO, partially on 35mm and the rest on Super 16 in color. Later I turned into black and white then subtly reintroducing colors like a water painting on film at BLUE in SOHO using Da vinci.
I wrote, directed and performed the music. If you're going to see one film this year about a guy who makes toilet seats let this be the one!
