China Business Post Banned

NTDTV

ZHANG:
And another case of press censorship in China. The weekly Chinese newspaper -- the China Business Post -- was recently banned after reporting on possible corruption in one of China's biggest state-owned banks: the Agricultural Bank of China.Chinese authorities say the paper violated media regulations with the article, but the move has been condemned by the International Federation of Journalists, the press freedom group Reporters Without Borders, and by Chinese media tycoon Bruno Wu who told the Financial Times it was "an abuse of power."

The Chinese paper will be back in about three months.
