Ok word to the wise. If you build a DIY 4X4 snowskate make sure you put fins on the skis otherwise you won't be able to edge and you won't be able to steer and you will eat shit (see above). Also while you're at it you are going to have to add stomp pads or something burly to the top of the deck because eventually the grip will fill in with ice and then you will be eating even more shit (again see above).
