We had just driven 8 hours from New Orleans to get there. I literally ran from my car into the stadium, onto the field, no warmups, cold turkey. It's a whole different scene when you see your huge face on the jumbotron. I'm not making excuses, but...

Hey..at least you got to walk onto that wonderful field. That's so cool. I'd love to be able to throw out the first pitch at a game.

I'd have probably left it 3 feet short. I'm sure it was a little nerve wracking.
